It’s kind of difficult to me to write a review for this band while listening to something completely different, this will be a new review but kind of based on the old one.
Screamo has been changing all over the world, getting more and more influences from different genres, and god. I love…
I’m blushing.
Gotta love online protests.
It really brings out all the terribly misinformed idiots out of your contact list on Facebook.
Today, Wikipedia is down, BoingBoing is down, Reddit will be down in 6 hours, Ars Technica is going SOPA-only in their reports for today, even Wordpress has its own gig, similar to the one Tumblr did a few months back. All in protest of a legislation working its way through the US congress. And yes, I’m in support of their cause, even if I’m living in a country half a world away.
Why? Most of the web is based in the US, and these websites, many of which I use fairly often, will be very negatively affected by the ongoing developments there. Furthermore, since the US is the world’s foremost power, the success of the SOPA will result in a cascade of similarly worded legislation in all other countries, negatively affecting innovation across the world. Thus, I stand in solidarity with these websites in protest, and fervently hope that such a closed future will never come into fruition.
